My car will lock when you put it in gear and unlock when put in park, but it will not lock or unlock with using the button on either door panel. also key fob has not worked in years. now every time you open the door the alarm goes off. I have changed the BCM and checked all fuses. any ideas? I changed blower motor resistor and got the fan going. thanks.

Hello,

It sounds like you have something shorted or open that it keeping the system from working. Here is a guide to help you check the power grounds and switches. I would also check the alarm/instrument and the door lock fuse as well.
