Door locks are going crazy. Key code and remote can't stop it. I had to pull the fuse out. What needs to be done to fix this?

Hello,

Does the car start okay? It sounds like the battery could be low. Here is a guide to help check the battery:

If the battery is okay the GEM has gone out which is common here is the location so you can replace it. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

The part number for this is 1C3Z-14B205-EA but may have been superseded by a new one. You would need to make sure that the module you purchase is the same as the one you have. The Base part number is "1C3Z-14B205" the Revision level is the "EA" tacked on the end of the part number. You might be able to find this part on fordpartsgiant.com.

Oh and I forgot to mention in the above post. When Replacing a GEM. its is necessary to upload the configuration from the existing unit and then download it to the new module using a Ford diagnostic tool (WDS or STAR (NGS)) so although replacing the unit is not so difficult. The configuration of the new GEM requires the know-how and tools from the Ford guys..
