Door lock and door ajar light not working properly

Sometimes a spray of wd-40 in the door latch will do the trick, but sometimes the door ajar switch will need to be replaced. In the case of my wife's 2003 expedition, the switch actually came apart so replacement was necessary. The door panel will have to be removed for access (see pictures).
