The information center says Right Rear Door Ajar all the time. Dash and dome lights had to be turned off since they too will stay on.

Power window and lock both work fine.

I changed the latch assembly with the same results. I also checked wires in the driver door from the body.

I'm at a loss!

Correction! It's the left rear door.

So there is an Ajar switch inside the door latch that needs to be grounded to turn the dome lights and warning lights off. This means the latch will need to be replaced, the wire color reasonable for the grounding is the red/tan wire FYI. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I did replace the latch and the same thing happened. The window and lock work fine. By the way, this is the left rear, not right.

Okay, then the wire must be broken that goes to the BCM , you will need to test the tan/org wire from the latch to the BCM this guide can help show you how and I have included the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works.

Ken L,

Sorry for the lack of response. Over this time, I checked each wire to the latch. Turned out to be the BCM itself! Everything works fine now. Thank you for the help.
