Door ajar light/door chime always on

I purchased the van used it didn't have any problems. now my door ajar light and door chime are always on even when car is shut off.
I sprayed all the door latches.
Checked all the door sensors.
Cleaned all the connections.
Still door light and chime won't shut off. Help! It's annoying!

Hi,

It appears you covered all the bases for a stuck door switch but unfortunately the issue is a failed switch so it thinks the door is open all the time. This is a simple open and close switch when the door is open or closed. So when the switch is open it tells the computer that the door is open. We need scan the computer and see if there are codes. More than likely there won't be codes which means we need to monitor the computer to see which door is telling the body controller that it is still open even though it is closed.

Let me know if you have access to a scan tool if not, most parts stores will pull codes for you free of charge. However, if there are no codes, then we will need to get a scan tool that can monitor live data in the BCM so we can see what the door switches are telling it.
