Door handle broke

My driver side door handle was broke accidentally and the inside was working but recently when I opened the door it got halfway opened and made a pop noise and would not open any farther. I shut it back and tried again, but now it acts like it is locked. how can I fix this or at least get the door open?

see picture and see if one of the clips to the door lock has broken which probably is the case they connect to rods to operate the latch. those clips may be in help section at auto parts if not dealer can get them.

This is helpful but I cannot get the door open to take the panel off. how would I go about getting it open?

see if you can grab the rod with needle now pliers then pull up maybe down to get rod to release latch otherwise inside panel has to come off and get it to open that way.
