Dome light

there are three positions for my dome light, first is on and when you close doors suppose to eventually go off. second one {in Middle} is suppose to be off. Third position is on. the problem I have is that in the center it stay on and the automatic dim after you close doors is off. On the on position it stays on. where is the dimmer relay for the dome light? and if you have a wiring diagram it would be helpful, Mike

make sure ground is good for light then have it scanned for codes as it may be the body control unit. auto parts cannot do this a mechanic has to with a professional grade scanner. also make sure all the switches are not broken including one in rear gate if you have a wagon.

Hatch light works correctly, I had checked the light as I wanted to put in mother lights that worked. the step or puddle lights on the door works fine. I had used a test light to see which contact worked the light and had crossed it over to the power wire with a short spark. I had read that the control is in the passenger door pillar, but could not find it. Where is body control unit?

item 184 in picture, but if you do not have a scanner you cannot check it.
