Replacing the ignition and door lock cylinders?

I'd like to replace the lock cylinders on the truck listed above Silverado but saw something on Amazon that made me think it somehow matters if I have a manual transmission and not an automatic when buying the lock cylinder set (ignition and door locks). Does it really matter? I had just done this on my 1999 Corolla and did not come across anything about which transmission I had making any difference. I had to ask before I just take a chance.

The transmission type (manual vs. automatic) can indeed affect which ignition lock cylinder you need, although this isn't always the case with every vehicle. This is because of the ignition lock out feature which is different between the two. Here is a listing I got from Rock Auto which shows there is a difference. Check out the images (below). Thanks, it just puzzled me why the type of transmission you have would affect what kind of lock cylinder would be needed. I'll take a look at Rock Auto.
