2000 Dodge Van hard starting after setting a day

the van is hard to start after sets it sets for day I have to try and start it 2 or 3 times before it starts and as i 'am turning it off it seems to be fireing then i know that on old doges i replaced a resister block and fix the problem have but on newer dodges i have know i deal when it does start it runs good and shuts off and restarts good the rest of the day
