i own a mechanic shop but have been having trouble with my 2005 Dodge 1 ton dually, turbo diesel engine.(65,000 mls) recently replaced all fuel injectors and lines due to algae problem in fuel. i'm getting very poor fuel mileage. have checked fuel filter, air filter. it is also putting off black smoke like maybe it isn't burning all the fuel. this is my work truck but the mileage is so bad i can't afford to drive it. i'm only getting about 12 miles to gallon. any advice? also check cataletic convertor and that isn't it either. love to hear from someone. it cost me approx 3000.00 to fix injectors. i hate that evidentally that didn't fix the problem....hope to hear from someone soon.
