The truck has a Cummins diesel. I took it in for repair because the engine would rev up when comming to a stop. Then the truck would lunge forward was the brake was released. Also when shifting into reverse, after driving forward, there would be a clunk sound probably because of the high engine rev.
The dealer diagnosed the problem as the Torque Converter. After the Torque Converter was replaced, I was told that the Electronic Control Module needs to be replaced. I am wondering if the original diagnosis should have been the Electronic Control Module and there may not have been a problem with the Torque Converter.
