2003 Dodge Truck getting code p0700

My transmission is not shifting out of first gear properly and after it does shift it will not shift again. I got a fault code p0700. Will a lock up overdrive solenoid fix my problem?

Many times the P0700 is a internal problom on the TCM. However, before replacing the TCM, check the ground to the transmission. A poor or bad ground will give this code. Also, check your EATX fuse and relay,

Also before replacing the TCM, after checking ground, clear the codes out, and re check it.

Often, after there is a ground or power problem the TCM will hold old codes. Remember it is very common to find a ground problom. You can make a ground wire from the battery to the transmission using a at least a 14 gage wire. This will provide a good solid ground.
