2000 Dodge Truck quits running out of the blue

Drives like a dream and then suddenly shuts down with no warning. No overheating lights no nothing just stops. After about 3 or 4 hours starts up again with no problem and runs like a dream again. Very frustrating. Can u help?

Dodge placed the PCM in the engine bay, and I have seen a few people with this condition, turns out to be either the crank sensor, or the PCM needs a fan blowing on it, One guy even built a box around it, and piped in cold air from the A/C, and it cured his problem. Computers do hate heat!
