The transmission will not stay in overdrive if I exceed 60 mph. My truck is a 24 valve in-line 6 cyl diesel. I had it tested on a Tech 2 scanner and have no codes showing. I also had it tested at my local Dodge dealership and they too were not showing any codes on their equipment. I am very confident that the torque converter and mechanical/hydraulic aspect of the inner working of the transmission are sound. My question is have you ever ran across this situation before and do you have any advice or recommendations? Updated info - Items tested - Ohm tested the TCC and Overdrive solenoids - test good. Brake light switch is operational – verified no interference while driving. Computer is commanding the overdrive and TCC (torque converter clutch) to drop out around the 60 mph. I am going to check the TPS (throttle position sensor) next. Prior service bulletin indicated a possible problem with the TPS having a .2 voltage drop that could lead to my problem.

Hi
Has Output Speed Sensor been verified accurate? if it is out of sync with VSS then OD will drop out. Don't think TPS would be a fault.
Thanks for donate
