no lights in cluster,headlight pull switch will turn everything on except cluster lights,when starting engine all warning light comes on and go off after the is running as they should,can't see gages at night

yes ,i tried rotating pull switch,put in new switch and tried another cluster, still no lights inside the cluster

OK, now don't throw anything at me, I'm trying to be helpful.
Did you check the fuses, not just by looking at it, but with a meter or test light?

They can sometimes crack and you cant see that with the naked eye.

checked all fuses,there are two,cluster A,cluster B,both good,replaced both anyway

do the lights in your radio and heater controls respond like they should?

yes,heater control and radio light are fine

Don’t worry about it.
I’ve given incorrect advice before.

This diagram suggest that there is a 5 amp fuse in a junction block on the passenger side of the dash. Check that.
Or at least check that you have power at the Orange wire.

If the lights in the heater head work, then the dash lights should work.

Check for power at pin-1, connector-2 Orange
Check for ground at pin-5, connector-1 Black/Orange

If those check out, then it has to be something in the cluster.
