1997 Dodge Truck TRANSMISSON WON'T GO OUT OF 1ST GEAR

This is a newly rebuilt transmission it works great in reverse and 1st gear. The problem i'm having is it just won't shift to the higher gears.

The transmission has pretty much evrything new we even installed new valve body instead of rebuilding. Is there some kind of of an adjustment or way to check to see whats wrong. its like its sticking or locked up there and won't shift.

Does the speedo work? If not it wont shift. Might want to check th egovernor too, could have something stuck in it. You do this rebuild yourself?

ALL LOOKS WELL WITH REBUILD ACTUALY THIS JUST SEEMED TO EASY.

BUT TO NO AVAIL IT DOESN'T WORK OR AT LEAST NOT RIGHT ANY HOW

I WAS TOLD TO ADJUST FRONT BAND WOULD THIS HELP?

Speedo work? Adjusting front band wont make it shift. Did you check the governor?
