I have been told it is either a fuel filter or fuel pump that needs to be replaced. I cannot locate the filter and would like to know if the fuel pump is in the tank or external. Is there informatiion online on changing the fuel pump or do I need to buy a manual?

Unless you have a diesel, you will never solve a running problem on a Chrysler product by replacing the fuel filter. A severely plugged filter will cause stalling when the largest volume of fuel flows through it, which is, are you ready for this?, . . . when coasting. The same is true of the pickup screen attached to the pump, which is in the tank.

It would be real helpful if you would post the symptom so we can provide a better guess at a solution. Way too many people just throw parts at a vehicle until they accidentally fix it, or they give up and take it to a professional. Trying multiple parts is the most expensive and time-consuming way to troubleshoot a vehicle.
