Repair estimate for pump, gasket, thermostat, belts, etc. was $475. Fair price?

all repair costs seem high anymore. I had a mechanic friend install mine (1996 model 1500/ 5.2) for $80, and I believe the water pump was around $100. Its not an extremely difficult pump to replace. Maybe get some more quotes?
