Hi I have a 1987 Dodge Dakota. I had to replace the two brake lines that run from the front to the rear. I bled the brake and fluid comes out with no air. I can`t get a good brake now. The peddle is almost to the floor. I also replaced the rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. I think this model has a control valve and the height sensing proportioning valve. I am not sure about how they work. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

If you are bleeding the brakes and have solid fluid, then we need to suspect the master is the issue.

However, let's start with this guide on this issue:

Once we run through this the best way to go through this is to remove all lines from the master and cap the ports. Then you should have a hard pedal. If you do not, then the master is the issue.

If you do, then starting adding lines back on one at a time until the pedal is soft again. That will tell us where to start looking for the issue.

The only way this is going to go to the floor is because of air in the lines or there is a leak allowing pressure to escape.
