1980 DODGE D-50 BACKFIRES AND SPUTTERS WHEN I ACCELLERATE

1980 DODGE RAM D-50 2.6 LTR 5 SPD 130,000

TRUCK STARTS AND IDLES FINE ... WHEN I ACCELLERATE IT BACKFIRES AND SPUTTERS IT CONTINUES TO RUN BUT VERY ROUGH AND UNDRIVABLE .
SO FAR I HAVE REPLACED THE : PLUGS , WIRES, DISTRIBUTER CAP AND ROUTER AS WELL AS THE COIL .
THE TRUCK RAN FINE FOR 2 DAYS AFTER REPLACING THE COIL BUT THEN BEGAN DOING THIS..
ANY IDEAS :?: :?: :?: ??????????THANX :wink:

All the work you did and not a fuel filter
Check the fuel system
And ignition wires

replaced fuel filter and replaced wires --
it doesn't seem like any fuel is getting to the carburator ???????

thanks for u r reply !but i'm still stuck ...
replacing the coil was the 1st thing i did and the truck ran great for 2 days after that.
then it bogged down and began to backfire through the carb. it will idle fine but as soon as i accellerate it sputters and backfires so rough its undriveable.

when the truck is idiling with the air filter off looking into the barrells of the carb it appears to be dry as a bone ...the carb is an aftermarket mikuni

CHECK THE FUEL PUMP
DO YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE
