2001 Dodge Stratus Whistle sound

2001 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

There is a whistle sound that comes from the front and starts when i go over 40 miles per hr. Once I reach 30 miles per hr is stops but the sound is very loud. What could it be?

I too would like to know this. However, the noise sounds more like a whirring rather than a whistle.

I have noticed that when traveling above 35 MPH, it is set in third gear on the transmission which is when the whirring starts to sound off.
