would like to know how to change spark plugs on this engine? It looks like I need to remove manifold? Is this (it looks to be) difficult? I do not have a service manual. Can I find one online?

On the non-turbo engine, you don't have to completely remove the upper intake manifold to change the plugs. Separate the upper and lower manifold and then remove the bolts holding the EGR tube to the rear of the manifold. The left bolt also goes to the support bracket at the rear of the engine. This will let you lift the upper intake manifold up enough to gain access to the plugs. Throttle body and throttle cables don't need to be removed either. This is for the PT Cruiser but may apply to you as well.
