2001 Dodge Stratus, CD player problem!

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus that has 104,950 miles on it. Recently I inserted a disc into the CD player and the CD player would turn off randomly, while the car was running. I have turned the car off, then back on but the CD player is completely off. The clock will not even turn on. All the gages work fine and the windows are also working correctly. Any ideas on what the problem could be and what I would need to do to fix it? Thanks
