Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Dodge Stratus Front Wheel Drive Automatic 197000 miles

when i am riding down the road the front wheels feel like they are rubbing, when the brakes are applied it isn't as rough. i took off the wheel and it didn't seem like it was the brakes, there was no grooves on the rotors or no signs of rubbing or nothin. i was thinkin it could just need new bearings but im no mechanic, any ideas?

Check the passanger side to make sure the tire isn't hitting the belt shroud. Also, are the brake pads good? Finally, does the noise change when making turns?

yea the brake pads are good i still have about a half inch of pads left. i think that i found out what it was when i put the car up on jack stands i took the wheels off, as well as the whole brake assembly. i grabbed on to the wheel spindle on the driver side and it seemed to be fine, the bearings did not feel ruff at all. then i went to the pass. side and grabbed the spindle and i had to much play in it. it would wiggle up and down. so i started to spin it and i could feel the bearings grinding as it spun around. does that sound right? thanks
