1999 Dodge Stratus CAR SHAKING

I have a 99 dodge stratus that was running fine one minute then when I went to turn it back on it started shaking really hard and when I went to drive it, it wouldnt hardly accelerate. I got it home(barely). it felt like it was gonna die on me the whole time! The check engine light was and still does blink when I turn the car on! I changed the spark plugs and that didnt do the trick,so I am hopeing you guys can help me out with an answer that way I am less likely to get ripped of at a repair shop. Thanks
