My wife's car was leaking oil the other day and so it looked like the oil pan gasket toward the flywheel.
I replaced the gasket but the oil still came out by the flywheel.
Is this a seal gone bad?
What do you think the cost to repair the issue?
Thank you,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Yes, it is most likely the rear main seal and to replaced it you will either have to remove the tranny or the engine. So, you are looking at about $1k. You should call around for pricing and also find one that is reputable.
