We bought this car not too long ago. it was fine for the first few months then developed a grinding sound/feel coming from the right front wheel. the noise only appeared when we turned right and usually seemed to happen only when the car was running cold. Once it warmed up, the grinding seemed to go away.
I was thinking, although i don't know alot about cars, that it was a bearing problem. We let it ride for a few days because of lack of funding for pissible repairs.
Today my wife came home from work and reported a new noise. I drove it and heard a high-pitched whine coming from the OTHER side, the front driver's side wheel. The whine increases in pitch as you speed up and then stops when you drop below 10 MPH or so.
This noise too though isn't constant by any means. Sometimes you can drive for a while with no noise and sometimes it starts up right away.
Any suggestions would be apprectiated. I've done break jobs on several cars, so perhaps i could handle some minor repairs if the repairs needed are in fact minor.
