1993 dodge stealth v6-24valves

I know this engine has automatic valve adjustment, but it has a very distinct valve-clicking noise, that sometimes goes off, and sometimes it comes back on. does anyone have a guess on that and what should be done? thx

does the clicking noise happen when the engine is cold during warm up??

yes, and sometimes after it's warm it goes away, and sometimes it comes back on

ur lifters are noy pumping up....therefore more obivioud when its cold...

I can pinpoint the noise to the first cylinder (from the distribution end), the rest are quiet. do you have a solution 4 this?
