2003 Dodge Srt-4 Inner CV Joint

Hey, I've owned my Srt-4 for a few months, and the day I got it, it never made this sound. When I accelerate or de-celerate, my car makes a small "cunk" sound. It's been doing it for awhile now, and I don't know what it is. I am a self proclaimed mechanic, and think it's the inner CV joint, am I right? Does not make a sound when I turn or anything, only when I accelerate or de-celerate. Help
