1994 Dodge Spirit 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i was wondering if you could give me some info i put a new fuel pump in my car it ran but the gas line was leaking so i put all new gas lines on and now it wont run so i thought it was the fuel pressure regulator and change that as long as the gas line was leaking it ran now it wont run unless you keep your foot on the gas and it missis really bad when you take your foot off the gas it wont stay running and and stalls out all the vacuum hoes are on what else would cause it to do that/?

If it runs poorly when you are off the accelerator, then that is most likely a vacuum leak. I would suggest we start with that and find out if we can find a leak. I understand the lines are connected but we may have cracking in the lines or even a leak in the manifold gasket so let's check all around the intake and manifold then all the lines as well.

If there are no leaks, then we need to actually check the pressure and find out what it is. You do not have a test port, so we are going to have to tee into the supply line and find out what the pressure is.

This is included in most all fuel pressure test ports.

Let's run through this info and go from there. However, I suspect you will find a vacuum leak.

If not, we can move onto the idle air control valve as that is the likely cause after all this.
