What happens when you take oil filler cap off while running?

when I take the cap off the oil fill it sounds normal and runs normal, the only other thing is that i am using an enormous amount of oil which seems to be blowing out the front of the engine from somewhere, and I didnt have any of these problems until I changed the cover gaskets.

This happens when PCV will not open or hose is pluged up. Air is drawn through PCV into air cleaner. Check hoses and PCV should only allow air in direction of valve cover.
