2000 Dodge ram brakes

master cylinder nearly dry when light came on. had new one plus all 4 brakes replaced. light still on. brake and abs light. they said it would go out after driving awhile ,also said you cannot bleed the air out. is this safe to drive ? how do i get the light to go off ?

Why can't they bleed the brakes? If there is air in the system, nothing will work properly. Also, let me know what kind of vehicle this is. It is posted under a dodge shadow, but I think it is a different type of vehicle.

thank you jacob, 2000dodge ram, was told you could bleed to a point, that air wiil work out itself and the lights will go out. brakes feel and stop fine, should i rebleed them myself?

It wouldn't hurt anything if you feel air is still in the system. Just make sure to start from the wheel furthest from the master cylender (Right Rear) and work you way to the closest. The order is RR, LR, RF, LF.

Let me know how it goes. Also, remember, once the system is sealed, air can not escape.

thank you for your reply, can you give me any idears as to why the abs and brake light are still on, with all new disc, shoes, master cycinder and all drums and rotors being turned ? brakes feel great with slow or fast stopping. thank you charlie d

That is a good question. Based on everything you have done and the fact that they work perfect, something tells me there may be an ABS sensor that was disconnected or damaged when the work was done. If you were to have the computer scanned, it should identify why the light is on. Most parts stores will do it for free.
