I broke the bracket where my selective shifting cable attaches to the rubber gromment. I had to make a gromment to replace the one I had. Because dodge no longer makes the cable for that year. And as i was pushing it on the bracket. the bracket snaped where it attaches to the transmission. It looks like an L shaped bracket made out of allumimun . any suggestion at this point would be a big help. i am a disabled vet living on a fixed income and there isn't anyway i can afford a new tranny or let alone a used tranny or car a this time in my life. hope you guys can help

Head to a do-it-yourself salvage yard for replacement parts. If you're in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, or Indiana, Pull-A-Part is a real good choice. Yards are very clean and well organized. Parts are inexpensive. Bring your own tools. They have wheelbarrows and hand wash stations, and will haul large items for you. I've been to 11 of their 16 yards. Employees and customers were always very courteous and friendly.
