Heater problem
1993 Dodge Shadow 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My heater does not blow hot air. Replaced thermostat already. The next thing is the heater core. Is it possible that it has a diverter valve and could that be the problem? And what about just blowing out the heater core, is that possible? I'm trying to avoid taking my dash out.
Thanx

Hi:
It could have to do with the flow switch. Also, yes you can flush it out. FInally, make sure that HVAC doors are opening to allow heat to enter the car. Also, keep in mind that at operating temp, both the inlet and outlet hoses should be hot if the heat is on. Check that first. If they are both hot, you may have a problem with the HVAC doors. If one remains cool, the core may be plugged, or the switch may not allow coolant to flow to it.

let me know what you find.
