Engine Performance problem
1990 Dodge Shadow 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my van idles ok but when i step on the gas it gets above 200 revs and starts to idle rough and drop idle and misses and nearly dies i dont know if it could be a fuel pump or filter can you help me with this issue

It could be a fuel pressure issue. Here is a how to video for checking pressure. You may want to watch it and give it a try. Many parts stores will rent the gauge to you, or you can purchase on if you go to the test equipment store site in this page.

Also, check for vacuum leaks and make sure the catylatic converter doesn't seem to be plugging.
