I am having trouble with keeping my truck running. When it starts it runs for 10 min's then shuts down. Then I wait for 5 min's ( this time varys) it will start and some times it will stay running and other times it will shut down again. it is winter here Eden,NY and the truck sits in my attached garage during the week. this started 2 weeks ago. this is a 1st generation throttle body fuel injection system. I did check to make sure that fuel is being supplied by taking off the fuel line at the throttle body. any Idea what the trouble could be?[img:8c6a789c96]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/477399_1990ram2_1.jpg[/img:8c6a789c96]

Sounds typical of a heat-sensitive pickup coil in the distributor. Remove the air cleaner cover and watch the spray from the throttle body. You will lose spark AND fuel spray when the pickup coil quits working. Air gap is critical too.
