DODGE TRUCK OVERHEATING

I Have a 2002 Dodge Ram p/u with a 3.7 litre mtr.The engine cooling fan will not come on and it will overheat .How do I find out if it is a fan moter or relay.Also where is the relay.I really need help

Sounds to me youre fan relay has burnt out, I am not 100% where the fan relay is located, I am pretty sure its located in the engine compartment, U should see like a sqaure looking black unit with wires coming out from the bottom, Only way to test youre truck electric fan is to run a 14 gauge wire or speaker to youre positive terminal directly to youre fan see if it kicks on, If so youre fan relay is toast. If the fan doesnt turn on, Youre fan is not good.
