I have a 92 Dodge Ram 3/4 ton, 4X4 with the Cummins turbo diesel. This morning going to work the front end started to shake violently. I had to pull off the road. It would start to shake at around 10 mph. PLease help! What could be the problem?

Check for a separated tire. it could even be on the rear.

If you can't see the tire being out of round or see a bubble, you might try jacking up one wheel at a time and turn it. You can watch to see if it is out of round.

Or maybe even have someone look at the wheels as you drive by. I assume this does not occur when accelerating in netural.

if you are driving and push in the clutch, does it stop shaking or wait until you slow down some.

I would check the tires first. The next thing to check would be loose front end parts. If the parts are worn a lot and you hit a chuck hole, it could cause the shaking you describe but it would normally go away after you slowed down and until you hit another hole.

check the tires.

Let me know if you found anything. You might have to take it to a tire dealer and have them check it if you can't see a problem. Sometimes, it is hard to see a separation.

How old are the tires and who made them. It we decide it isn't the tires, we will consider other things.
