I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 4x4. I have been having a problem with my transmission when after driving my vehicle I will park it for approximately 20-45 minutes and when I start it and put it into gear and give it gas the transmission will slip for approximately 3-4 seconds both in drive and reverse. It is not very noticeable unless you know the vehicle and it doesn t happen all the time and only happens after the vehicle has been parked and then started and then put into gear. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership several times and they say there is no problem. I was there 1 time trying to show them the problem and that day it didn t do it. the other times i have left the vehicle I was on vacation or on business so I couldn't demostrate this to them. Help me please what is the problem.

HAs it been serviced? sometimes a partially plugged filter can do what you describe.Did the dealer check the line pressure adjustment and the throttle pressure adjustment just to be sure they are good? Has it ever set a check engine light when this is happening? If not it may be abn intermittent mechanical problem th ePCM cant adjust for or monitor
