2002 Dodge Ram noise with acceleration

My '02 Ram makes a whinning noise only when I accelerate. And it stops immediately when I let off the gas. My mechanic is stumped and told me its something that is just going to have to go out before we find out what it is.

The Best way to approach this is to pin point where the whining is coming from it could be anything from bad u-joints to worn bearings in the differential the pinion bearing usually whines only under load i would check that first.
