i am tring to change my rodor cap and button but i cannot get to it is there a trick to getting to it easier

Actually, there is no trick. Infact, your year truck is inear the transition from having a distributor cap / rotor to coil packs. Are you able to see the distributor, or could your truck have coil packs?
