I've put this truck through alot of mud and, sadly, haven't kept up on maintenance. Now, in addition to soft shifting, higher shift RPM's, pulsating steering, vibration from the front end that sounds and feels like my slightly oversize mud terrains rubbing but shows no wear spots, I've also noted a frightening new squeal from the front left wheel area. It sounds like it's ready to fall off. Metal shavings in the rim, random clunking and scraping, squealing in an alternating pitch that's sometimes speed dependant. I'm fairly familiar with how things should look down there, and I can't see anything horribly wrong-on the surface. All I can think of is a bearing somewhere has packed it's bags and left town, but this is far beyond the typical objections of a bearing that's destined for retirement. This is all the shimmys, groans and scraping associated with a poltergiest living somewhere in my hub/suspension area. Some diagnostic suggestions would more than helpful. I love my truck and right now I'm afraid to breath on it wrong. Thanks y'all.
