There is a bearing noise that has developed at the a/c compressor pulley. It seems to happen and stay steady at all rpms with the ac on and off. The AC operates as usual with constant very cold air blown. No symptoms noticed there.
With the truck off i removed the belt and spun the pulley. It spun smooth enough but i am sure it is the source of the niose and vibration.
I have researched and found lots of info on clutch bearings going out. However, I have found a little info in ac idler pulley bearings.
A) Is there multiple bearing in this pulley arrangement?
B) Can I change these bearings in place or do i have to discharge the system?
C) Is there special tools need to pull the pulley?
