Is there a affordable way to fix this ourselves? If not, about how much would it cost us to take it to a garage to fix this problem?

Hi. well to have this repaired you are looking at about 14 hrs labor and machine work couple hundred
parts about 150.so depending on the labor rate in your area.

Now can you fix it yourself? depends on your mechanical ability. if you are lacking on your mech ability. maybe you have a friend with some .it is not a complicated job to us .

so these are your choices
#1 garage 1500
#2 a friend or yourself 300
if you have a pretty mechanical mind and can follow instructions to a t. you can do this.

what would i reccomend. would be a proffessional. but your choice

thanks billymac

Labor for this is nowhere near 14 labor hours..it is more like 7 labor hours. An estimate is below, including parts. If you would rather try the repair yourself please let me know and I will provide you with the correct replacement steps.
