I took my truck in for brake rotor replacement and a sqeaking serpentine belt, which my mechanic replaced. That evening, I noticed a slight "knocking" noise from the engine area. Two days later the "check gauges" light came on, the engine was hot. Four days later,(today), it did it again and I pulled over. I opened the hood and saw that I was losing engine coolant where, according to the tow truck driver, is where the water pump is located. What are the odds in THAT happening right after the belt replacement? I think the mechanic did SOMETHING wrong when he installed the belt, what do you guys think? (So sorry, I'd donate some $$, but I'm about broke right now after spending almost 500 bucks for the first repair)
