overdrive lite comes on when driving with trailer.

yes it is shut off.

Also it will not shift into overdrive.

It sounds like there is a problem with the trans control module (TCM). I would recommend having that checked. Since the trans is shifting okay, it should be fine, but the computer may be the cause. Have it scanned.
