1997 Dodge Ram brake light/abs light

My abs and brake light came on and my brakes now are spongy I have to push all the way to the floor to stop, as if their is no pressure anymore. It happened all of a sudden not gradually.

First make sure the brake fluid is full. If so, have the computer scanned for codes.
