1996 Dodge Ram Clutch master cylendar replacement

I am trying to replace the slave and master on my Clutch I have gotten everything out with out a problem exept the Master. I can not figure how to get it off the fire wall.the only directions I can find say to u"unbolt the bracket and pull it out. but the bracket it is in is welded to the firewall. i know there is something I am missing because it all looks factory. but i can not find it. please help

Hi sarahsliefie. Welcome to the forum. I think the bracket you're referring to is for the reservoir. Once it is unbolted, and the push rod is disconnected, rotate the master cylinder counter-clockwise about 1/8 turn, then pull it out.
