1996 Dodge Ram abs brake light

i have a 1996 dodge ram 4x4, the abs and brake light came on this morning and i pulled over and the master cylinder cover was half off i put brake fluid in and put the cover back on, the brakes work fine but the light stays on ,any easy to fix this problem,thank you for your help.

If I were you I would check the reason the cap was half off, put some of your brake fluid from the master into a cup of water, swirl it, it should turn milky white, with no oil beads in it, This is meant to test for fluid contamination...if the fluid is contaminated get back to me...
