1995 Dodge Ram no charging

My 95 ram 1500 will not charge. i replaced the alternator with a rebuilt unit and the same condition exists. I read the voltage reg is biult in the computer. Is this the case? Can i replace the computer with one from a salvage yard?

If all the exterior wiring in the charging system checked out-could be coming from the computer field generation circuit of the alternator-You can try another computer or a new one make sure you have it flashed

Try the used one if it will work without a problem, if you encounter problem have it flashed
